Based out of Central Florida, BONEFIRE Studios is a small, two-person wife-and-husband team passionate about creativity, craftsmanship, and the natural world. We take immense pride in being able to create scientifically informed, museum-inspired replica skulls and skeletons of dinosaurs and other prehistoric life, with every piece individually crafted by hand.
Our studio is a place where art and science intersect, where each one-of-a-kind replica is carefully crafted to capture the essence of these ancient giants and bring them back to life. No two pieces are alike, as is so in life. Every replica that leaves our studio has passed through our hands - from printing and preparation to texturing, painting, finishing, mounting, and packaging.

OUR STORY
Bonefire Studios began with a shared desire to create something tangible again. After spending years building careers in the IT industry, we found ourselves wanting to reconnect with the creative, hands-on work that first brought us together while studying for our Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees at the International Academy of Design and Technology. What started as a shared hobby soon became something much bigger.
Alex's (she/they) fascination with prehistoric life grew from a lifelong appreciation for anatomy, skeletal articulation, animals, and the unusual. Discovering resin art and 3D printing opened an entirely new creative outlet, eventually leading her to become the primary operator of the studio's in-house resin and filament printers while overseeing the finishing and painting of each replica.
George (he/him) has always been a maker. Whether it was woodworking, computers, mechanical repairs, 3D design, or art, he has always enjoyed learning new skills and building things with his hands. After the two moved into their home together, one of his first projects was creating a workshop in the garage. This space would become an integral part of what would eventually become Bonefire Studios.
One day, Alex posed a simple question: "What if we worked on a new project... together?"
The idea was simple. Alex would print, prepare, texture, and hand-paint scientifically informed prehistoric replicas. George would bring his woodworking, metalworking, and fabrication experience to create custom mounts and display pieces. Together, they would build a studio where every product was crafted by hand from start to finish, working hand in hand and combining their individual skills into every piece they create.
From that idea, Bonefire Studios was born. Even its name reflects the partnership, combining elements of Alex's and George's longtime online usernames: "bone" and "phyr" (pronounced "fire"). What began as a shared creative experiment has grown into a studio dedicated to celebrating prehistoric life through museum-inspired art.
